Background

The history of TEJIDOS ESTAMBRIL S.A. starts in 1944 with the creation of a family company dedicated to woollen fabrics manufacture. This company reached its heyday during the 70s.

In 1981 the company carried out its first transformation, opting for the manufacturing of technical fabrics for safety and protection purposes.

In 1984 it became a public limited company and two years later it started up its own spinning process in order to ensure the maximum quality of its products.

In 1998 the company started a period of developing strategic growth plans which finished in 2005 with the creation of a company fully dedicated to innovation, TAG INNOVATION S.A. Thus this is how the ESTAMBRIL GROUP started.
